Can You Believe In Ghost But Not God

Published by tglisman at 3:20 pm under Ghost around us Edit This

I was reading an article the other day where the Author stated he believed in ghost but did not believe in God.  At first I laughed because the idea was just ludicrous to me. As the day wore on I could not get the idea out of my head. I then decided to do some research on the internet and see what I could find.  I was shocked to discover many others felt the same way.

I have always believed a ghost is a soul which has not passed over to the garden.  If the body dies all that remains is the soul.  The soul is also known as your conscience.  If you do something and feel guilty for it then it is your soul reminding you that it was wrong.  If you feel pity for someone, again it is your soul.

Some believe a ghost is just energy.  Some believe them to be recordings which play over and over.  I can not believe either of these theories because energy and recordings do not speak to you.

Allan and I grew up together and he was one of closest friends. One night he committed suicide. Later I learned he had personal and business problems. It bothered me so much that I did not know.  I cried each day and suffered depression over it.  Then one night I dreamed of a garden.  It was the most beautiful garden I have ever seen in my life.  I walked through the garden for a while and then sat on a stone bench.  It was then I noticed someone walking toward me.  As he got closer I could see it was Allan.  He sat beside me and told me how happy he was there.  He begged me to be happy for him and to cry no more.  When I woke I could smell roses.  I have not cried for Allan since then.

That was proof to me that God is real and souls are real.  I can only believe one way; ghosts are souls.  But everyone has the right to believe in what they choose.

I believe in both, but I have heard others say they only believe in one or the other.

I have heard some say they can’t believe in ghosts because they believe in God, which I honestly find odd. Why not? I don’t recall reading anywhere that God said you can’t believe in ghosts. I think it is because some view ghosts as evil, but they are not (most anyway).

But I do know that pagans and such believe in ghosts but not in one God, they believe in gods and goddesses.

I have had similar experiences, with dreams and such. In fact, everyone that I have cared about or known to some degree has come to me after dying. One person who I never got to say goodbye to, someone I was very close to, passed away 3 years ago and she comes to me periodically.

    Good post.
