9-11 Conspiracy Theories
Some of my friends on Myspace have posted blogs on the conspiracy theory that our own government caused 9-11. They post video after video on the way the towers fell, how the supposed terrorists are still alive, and how we now control Iraq’s oil fields. They make some very good points and at the very least they cause you to give it some thought. When the U.S. invaded Iraq they told us the reasons were Weapons of Mass Destruction, ties to the terrorists who caused 9-11, that Iraq was partly responsible for 9-11, and that Saddam was not letting the weapons inspectors in to look for WMD’s. We now know that all those reasons were false. We also know that they got their information from a man who was convicted of embezzlement and counterfeiting before we took his information to be truth. We also know that oil is needed for plastics, food, shelter, and transportation plus many other uses. Those who control oil control the world. We forget that the invasion of Iraq was in violation of international law. Do I believe the conspiracy theories? I am not sure what to believe but I do know we can not trust our government any more. I ask myself this question. If 9-11 had never happened would the American people have allowed the invasion of Iraq?
