The Adventures of Jumping Jeff and Enos Presley
Before I married my husband, Jeff, he and his friend, Joey had a gospel group. They would play at churches, home comings, nursing homes, and even tent revivals. Some of the churches they played at were very small rural churches.
The fans gave Jeff the nickname of Jumping Jeff for the way he would dance around when he really got into the music. Joey on the other hand, once he got into the music would sound exactly like Elvis Presley. The fans said he he acted like Enos; a character on Dukes of Hazzard so they gave him the name of Enos Presley.
On one occasion they were going to play at one of the small churches. When they got to the church Joey and Jeff unloaded and set up all the equipment inside the church. As this was a somewhat dirty job they would wear everyday clothes until the job was done then change into dress shirt and slacks. This night when they were finished setting up the equipment they asked for directions to the bathroom so they could change into their dress clothes. They were taken back when they were informed there was no bathroom. After some discussion on where they could change they decided their only choice was the back of the van. Dressing in the van was difficult in the dark cramped space. Unable to see there was some clothes swapping until they were finally dressed in their own clothes and ready to go on stage.
Joey and Jeff entered the church from a side door and joined the rest of the group on stage. During the time they were singing and playing they noticed the people were really getting into the music. People were smiling, laughing, and pointing. Even a family member who was enjoying the music with the other people was pointing. When it was time for a break Joey turned to Jeff and told him the people were really enthused about the music. It was at this time that the friend walked up to the group and told Joey he had forgotten to zip his pants up. Not only were his pants undone but seven inches of snow white shirt was hanging out of the black pants for the world to see.

This is good material. Please do more of these. I love tales with humor or unusual experiences. Real stories of real people are always interesting. As a child we use to spend hours sitting around on the porch at night listening to the older people telling of their experiences and old wise tales. Thank You for this one.
