Michael Vick’s Second Chance

Published by tglisman under just another day Edit This

Michael Vick has a new contract with the Philadelphia Eagles where he will make millions of dollars.  It has been reported that he lost a $100 million in salary from the Falcons because of his involvement in a dog fighting ring.  Vick supporters say he should be given a second chance while others say he does not deserve a second chance.  Some people have stated the dogs did not get a second chance.  I couldn’t agree more.  The sight of a bate dog torn to pieces is something you don’t soon forget.

As a volunteer for the Humane Society of Troup County and a dog lover from birth I find it revolting that Michael Vick is going back to his good life; millions of dollars, hero worship, and side deals.  In America dreams do come true for the lowest humans.  If you sleep with an important married man you will get a book deal and maybe your own talk show.  You can have a litter of children and get your own show and again, make millions.  You can torture and murder animals and all is forgiven.  Studies have shown that most serial killers tortured and killed animals as children.

Now Vick has teamed with The Humane Society of The United States on an anti dog fighting campaign.  The message is; do as I say, not as I do.  Have you ever noticed spokes people are always people who have already did the one thing that are telling you not to do?  I don’t believe Michael Vick is sorry for what he did but rather sorry he got caught.

The Rooster VS Mama

Published by tglisman under just another day Edit This

Red RoosterIt was a warm spring day and I was doing what any five year old girl would do outside on a day like that one.  I was making mud pies for my baby doll Susie.  While I scooped mud onto a tiny plate for Susie my Mother opened the back door to check on me.  She reminded me to stay away from the Rooster.  I said I would and Mama went back inside the house.  Mama did not have to worry about me getting close to the Rooster.  I stayed as far away from him as possible.  He scared me more than snakes or wasps.  In fact I would have walked in front of a speeding car before I would have messed with the Rooster.  Old Red, as he was called, was the meanest Rooster in Heard County and had a reputation for spurring anything or anyone in his path.

I looked up to see where Old Red was leading his women and upon seeing him go around the other side of the house I went back to feeding Susie.  Just then I heard a noise and before I could stand up Old Red was on me.  His sharp spurs cutting into my back and neck.  While I screamed and feebly attempted to fight him off, our dogs, Spot and Pepper tried to defend me.  I did not hear Mama storm out the back door with murder in her eyes.

I didn’t know she was there until a sudden silence descended on me.  I looked up to see Mama standing there with a cast Iron frying pan in her hand.  She was breathing hard and looking down at Old Red who was not of this world anymore.  That night we had fried Chicken for supper.

New Robertson Road Update

Published by tglisman under Ghost around us Edit This

Since going back to the house on Robertson Road we have had some interesting and unusual things to happen here. I should say more spooky stuff than usual anyway. For one my Granddaughter, Lauryn, was on the bed watching TV when she felt ice cold fingers rubbing her face and hair. All of us are having nightmares and can not sleep for more than a few hours at a time each night.

One day in the late afternoon Lauryn saw a dark shadow person walking on the front porch.  The dogs must have seen it too for they raced to the storm door barking and growling.

Last night my youngest son saw a man walking behind me as I walked from the hall into the den.

We park all of our cars in the back yard except for my oldest son’s car which he parks in the driveway.  Four of the cars out of five have had the batteries drained since going to the house on Robertson Road.

I wish I had never taken my Granddaughter back to that house.

Watching For Ghost and UFO’s

While my Granddaughter Lauryn was here she asked if we could sit outside after dark and watch for UFO’s and ghost.  I was not wild about the idea because the back yard scares the heck out of me at night.  There are so many trees in the front yard that only a small portion of the sky is visible from the porch so sitting in front was out of the question.

I grabbed a beer for courage, along with binoculars, a flashlight, the camera, and bravely went out to the patio table on the back porch.  Once it was completely dark that old familiar feeling of fear overcame me.  Since I was so scared I was talking none stop when the sound of rustling came from the bushes at the side of the yard.  I took the flashlight with shaking hands and went over to the bushes.  With the light shining into the bushes two pairs of eyes looked back at me.  With relief I saw it was the two pesky armadillos that provide us with holes in the yard.

After about an hour of sitting outside I saw something white moving in front of the barn. I took some photos and asked Lauryn if we could call it a night.  The mosquitoes helped her to make the decision to go inside.

Last night my youngest son saw a large black animal in the back yard.  He told me he only got a quick look at the animal but it looked like a panther and ran like one.  I am so glad what ever it was did not make an appearance while Lauryn and I were outside by our selves.

Big Cats in Troup County

black pantherIn November 2008, during deer season, a hunter sitting in a deer stand hears something coming through the woods.  He lifts his rifle and waits for what he thinks is a deer to wander into the clearing.  A brown animal steps through the brush and stops.  The man is shocked to see the animal is not a deer but is a very large brown cat.  He takes aim and fires, killing the cat.

The local news ran the story along with a photo of the cat draped over the man’s shoulders.  It was thought at first that the cat was a Cougar but it was later deemed to be a Panther.  At first Authorities believed the animal had been in captivity for a while then released or escaped.  Now it has been proven that the Panther was not a pet at all.  In fact the animal was a Panther that made its way from Florida to Georgia. Now those who witnessed the Panthers and were made to feel stupid are vindicated. Over the years witnesses were told; there are no Panthers in Georgia.  My husband, our sons, our daughters, friends, neighbors, and hunters, are among many who have witnessed black Panthers around here for years.  If you have proof such as photos, tracks, or droppings the Georgia Wildlife Authorities will investigate.

Authorities have admitted the Panthers are real and they are in Georgia.  That is enough for the witnesses.

Unprofessional Advice

Published by tglisman under The Paranormal Edit This

Each Monday I receive a newsletter on the paranormal from Stephen Wagner.  Recently in one of the newsletters he stated that a woman had wrote him asking for help.  She was under the belief that demons were terrorizing her and attempting to take over her body and soul.  The help Mr. Wagner offered the woman was to tell her he did not believe in demons and her problem was basically all in her head.  In this case Mr. Wagner put his own views on demons, angels, and God before his professional obligation.

Mr. Wagner should have instructed the woman to talk to a Priest or Pastor, and then advised her to call in a Paranormal Investigation Team.  There is also the possibility that the woman was suffering from a mental illness.  In talking to people about what was happening in her home if she is mentally ill someone may have picked up on it.

To be such an expert Mr. Wagner should at least know that not all spirits are good and kind.  If a person was an evil and cruel person in life then it stands to reason he would be an evil and cruel person in death. I know for a fact that demons, angels, and God are real but I am not going to push my views on anyone and neither should Mr. Wagner. Mr. Wagner you dropped the ball.
