About Me

Published by tglisman

Hello, I live just outside of Pine Mountain, Georgia in a very rural country subdivision. I am married to a wonderful man who shares my many interest. Between us we have seven sweet children who are all adults. We also have beautiful grandchildren. We are a big family and on holidays and special occasions our home looks like Atlanta airport.

Some of my interest are; sewing, crafts, genealogy, UFO’s, ghost, haunted houses, interior design, gardening, writing, and pets. I have a diploma in interior design (the school where I went did not offer a degree at that time). Unfortunately where I live people do not hire interior designers.

I do volunteer work at our local Archives and our Humane Society.

We have three large breed dogs and two cats in our home. We have a pit bull, a boxer, and a boxer-shepherd mix. They are all sweet tempered, friendly, spoiled dogs.

I love to take vacations to anyway but my favorite vacations spots are Biloxi, Mississippi and Panama City Beach, Florida. My husband and I went to Hawaii on our honey moon and it is the most beautiful place on Earth.

My life has not been without hardships but overall I feel blessed and look forward to making friends on Today.

I am an Independent Contractor for ChaCha.com.  I work as an Expeditor and I love it.

I just ran accross your your post about Larry Harris. I’ve known him for many years. He seems to be a good man.
I have had my own experience with Donnie Turner also. When I was discharged from the Marine Corps in 1994 (Desert Storm Vet), I went to Donnie looking for a job. I told him I wanted to finish college and I would take any position he would give me (even 911 operator) just to get my foot in the door. I wanted to work for him! To my surprise, he was less than impressed. He read my outstanding military records and looked me dead in the eyes and said “I’ve got three ex-Marines working for me now and they ain’t worth a sh*t, I got nothing for you!!” Without losing my bearings I firmly picked up my records from his desk and said “thank you for your time Mr. Turner, I’ll see you next election”. Since that day I make it a point to tell my story and to be present to vote against him! We need better people within the local leadership than this. People like Jackie Taylor and others corrupt the system and forget to SERVE instead of CONTROL. As it turns out, I have spoken with some other veterans who worked for him and have since left the department because of the corruption and illegal practices. What a shame people let corrupt leaders control their lives nowadays. Better have a good lawyer if you ever get in their crosshairs. Semper Fi.
